I have had a great crew of artists that work for me, I am strict, run a tight business and am strict about the use of any alcohol or drugs! I oficially joined the APT, now number #65. I was on the bottom floor when I first started with a great association. When it comes to being clean, and sterile conditions. We all follow hospital sterilization techniques, use disposable needles and other disposable equipment. I have learned more about the art aspect of Tattooing in the past 10 years because of the talent of my Artists. Its important how we all interract and communicate with customers and each other as well. I have come to the conclusions that both my Groton and Salem Locations have the finest collection of Artisis and Bodypiercers that anybody could ask for.

Lets start with The Groton Flats Tattoing...our own building accross from the Poquonnock Bridge Fire Dept (near Dairy Queeen and Johnsons Hardware.) I met a young man named Steve Tefft, and asked him to come work for me...little did he know, in about 3 years he would come into his own. I believe he is one of the finest tattoo artists on the East Coast. Steve is my friend as well as my Manager for my Groton, Connecticut shop. We have our NEW Groton Location Shop which I purchased the building! Nobody would rent to us...why you ask? Because some people still hold the stereotype image of a Tattoo shop. Too bad...We hare at Flats Tattooing strive to break the old view of what many years ago a Tattoo shop was. All my tattooists and piercers are highly trained an must surpass my expectations.

I can only rave about the artists that work at Flats Tattooing. Steve Tefft...I consider Steve to be one of the finest artists around, the best. Being my Manager Steve runs the business professionally. Hes my friend as well as one heck of a golfer! We used to play more but I have slacked the past couple of years with running 2 full shops. I will eventually get back into the game. More on my staff...

Then, theres Cory, my next artist after Steve. He loves his family and puts them first. You dont see that too often anymore. Hes an artist that can do the finest and tightest lines, getting pieces that would hurt anyones eyes and be difficult...Cory makes it a true work of art. He loves the Old School art and can add his personal fine touch to any art. Then...theres Dawn, shes was my next added to the Flats Tattooing family winter 1999. Your eyes will buldge when you see her work, detailing, cover ups and color bombing is her speciality...Dawn does Permanent Cosmentic tattooing as well she will dazzle you.

Matt would be my next. Matt is a smooth operator and one hell of an artist...you name it, he can design and tattoo it. His coclor work is tremendous and his favorite. Big D...Yes, hes the man who loves the large new school color work ans right at home with black and grey. Then of course theres my Daughter Jennifer, now 19, shes one heck of a piercer as well as tattoo artist. Being raised in the business Jen too right to tattooing like a fish to water. Jen trained with Dawn in Cosmetic tattooing in California. Both are fully Certified and Insured. Its an honor to have Jennifer as a daughter and I am very proud of her personal accomplishments.

...Then theres our extreemly talented Bodypiercer James. James is very qiet yet intense on his piercing, he loves his work as a master piercer. He has been piercing for over 10 years now, having extensive experience in unique, extreme and exotic Piercings. James prides himself on his mild to wild piercing as well as fixing bad piercings from other places, sterilization and years of experience in the industry.

Brianna our newest addition apprenticed here with us at Flats in Groton. Lisa is new with the Salem shop. You can imagine all these girls working here at Flats now. In the past it was uncommon, but now...times are different, things change and we hire our Crew on their Abilities.

As we continue, theres the Salem Shop...In May 2002, I opened my second shop, Flats Tattooing and Bodypiercing 2! The Salem Shop address is...

All the way down in Salem, Connecticut is our other 2nd Shop. Salem is small, clean with a small staff that yeilds BIG results. Aaron and Ed...both had apprenticed here at Flats are now full time Artists. Both are very talented and diversified working in all color or black and grey. Aaron and Ed are talented Artists as well as great to interract with in the Shop....come in and meet them! Jennifer and Lisa can be found working at the Salem Flats Tattooing. I have always been athletic. My passion is Kayaking from extreme to competition. I have raced for the USA in Thailand in 1995, I took 3rd place, 96 Sweden 24 miles, 34th place in the world.
